Isabel Li

CO-FOUNDER &
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Isabel is a mindful thinker, social innovator, educator, professional psychologist, arts therapist, and entrepreneur. Isabel seeks to integrate our inner lives, bodies, minds, and spirits with technology. She aspires to provide accessible psychological services at one click and aims to enhance one’s life through meaningful encounters.

Isabel holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego, a Master in Educational and Child Psychology from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Special Needs & General Studies) from the Education University of Hong Kong, and a Master of Expressive Arts Degree from the University of Hong Kong. Isabel is currently a doctorate candidate in the Clinical Psychology Program (PsyD) at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She is a graduate member of the Division of Educational Psychology of the Hong Kong Psychological Society (DEP, HKPS), a member of the Hong Kong Association of Educational Psychologists (HKAEP), an Educational Psychologist in Accredited Register 
by the Department of Health, and a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in New York State, USA. 

 
 
 

Ming Hiu Yau

CO-FOUNDER &
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Ming is a technology expert, start-up entrepreneur and an enthusiast in human behaviors and psychology. He has extensive experience with setting up start up businesses and to provide information technology advancement at international investment banks. He has previously worked in different ibanks including the Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and UBS. He was also the co-founder and CTO of a fintech startup which acquired over 400,000 users. 
 

Ming holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

 
 
 

Mavum Cheung

CHIEF STRATEGIC OFFICER

Mavum is a registered teacher and an avid advocate of social innovation. With her creative mind, she had taken substantial roles in teaching, education, social services and corporate planning. She envisions promoting the mental well-being of everyone with technology. She is in charge of the promotion and the development of corporate strategies for TheraTalk.

Mavum holds a Diploma in Counseling and Psychology from Hong Kong Shue Yan University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Hong Kong and a Master in Counseling Psychology from the University of New England. 

 
 
 

Ming Fai Yau

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Ming Fai has a strong background in software development. He has previously developed mobile apps and websites for various technology companies. Ming Fai has a broad understanding of the China technology market with his previous work experience in Hong Kong and China.

Ming Fai holds a BA (Hons) degree in Computing from Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

 
 
 

Cecilia Cheung, PhD

DATA SCIENTIST

Cecilia is a scientist, researcher, educator and web developer. She has a solid background and passion for data science and analytics. She is aspired to unlock user data into meaningful insights through analytical techniques and mathematical modeling. She has the notion that these insights are critical for success in building and refining artificial intelligent tools for better user experience.

 

She holds a Bachelor’s and Master of Science degrees in Geosciences from the University College London, and a Ph.D. degree in Geosciences from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Mary Louise Chan, AThR

Louise is a Registered Arts Therapist (Expressive Arts), a child specialist, a former educator and also an artist who has a great passion for the mental health field. Louise has worked with different populations from diverse backgrounds in her clinical practice. Louise is genuine in treating each client according to their unique personality, developmental stage, mental health and lifestyle circumstances. Louise cherishes every opportunity to serve those in need and is committed to developing psychotherapy and psychoeducation in Hong Kong.

She holds a Master degree in Expressive Arts Therapy from the University of Hong Kong. She is a registered arts therapist (AthR) at The Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA). Louise is also a Certified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA International & the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong). Louise has obtained the Certificate of Completion on the Post-Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills at Play Therapy UK, Play Therapy International & the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy (PTUK, PTI & APAC). Apart from that, Louise is a committee member of the Expressive Arts Therapy Association of Hong Kong (EATAHK), a registered member and practitioner trainee under Play Therapy Hong Kong (PTHK) and Play Therapy International (PTI).

 
 
 
 

Yolina Siu

Yolina has experience working with children (Child-centered play therapy), young people and adults (Positive Psychotherapy). She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Yolina holds a Master of Social Sciences (Counselling) from the University of Hong Kong, a Master of Science (Hotel and Tourism Management) from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a Certificate in Positive Psychology Instructor and an Advanced Certificate in Play Therapy. She is a full member of the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association and a certified mental health first aid instructor.

 
 
 

Ken Fung, PsyD

Ken is a clinical psychologist committed to helping individuals with different psychological issues. His major interest lies in the sophisticated emotional relationships between couples, friends and families. He believes that healthy relationships form a robust and supportive social network for individuals to explore, mature and manage adverse situations.   

Ken holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Auckland, a Master of Social Sciences (Criminology) from the University Hong Kong, and a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP). He is currently a registered Clinical Psychologist in New Zealand and Australia, and is a relationship therapist (Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 2 Trained).  

Ken is actively involved in providing face-to-face individual/couple/family therapy and is experienced in offering online consultations to clients from different populations. 

 
 
 

Mabel Cheng

Mabel is a Counseling Psychologist. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin - Stout and a Master of Counseling Psychology from Hong Kong Shue Yan University. She is currently a graduate member in the Division of Counseling Psychology Division in Hong Kong Psychological Society. Mabel adopts a strength-based approach. She believes realizing and utilizing one's own potential and positive qualities are the keys to mental illness prevention. Mabel has been actively engaging herself in mental illness prevention and positive education.

She has designed and conducted number of prevention programs for over 50 local primary and secondary schools, as well as overseas clinics, including anti-violence, anti-bullying, suicide prevention, positive youth development, career-life planning and development. She served as a lecturer at the Hong Kong counseling institute and has been providing individual and group counseling in both private companies and NGOs. Her service population includes adolescents, young adults, individuals with career concerns, parents, individuals with SEN concerns, and persons in recovery. In addition, Mabel has been working as a researcher at The University of Hong Kong, her research interest includes suicide prevention, positive youth development, online counseling and online crisis intervention skills.

 
 
 

Dawn Tang

Dawn has provided psychotherapy services to children and adolescents with depression, emotional problems, special learning needs, and also their parents. She regularly organizes expressive arts therapy workshops, as she strongly believes that arts and mental health are interconnected. She strives to promote the importance of incorporating arts into their lives to achieve a balance in the body, mind and soul.

She has a Master of Expressive Arts Therapy from The University of Hong Kong, a Master of Fine Arts, School of Creative Media from the City University of Hong Kong, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Media and Cultural Studies from Middlesex University, London, UK. She is a Registered Arts Therapist (AThR), at The Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA) and is a New Professional Representative at the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA), The University of Hong Kong.

 
 
 

Queenie Liu

Queenie is currently a psychologist in private practice and a part-time lecturer at a local university. In the past, she had been working on a parenting research project at a local non-government organization, and was also responsible for providing consultations to parents and teachers. She also has extensive teaching experience in local primary, secondary and tertiary education settings in Hong Kong.

In addition, Queenie is a qualified mindfulness teacher. In the past two years, she completed her Foundational Training in Teaching Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), jointly organized by the Oxford Mindfulness Centre and Hong Kong Mindfulness Centre. She is also a certified children’s and adolescents’ trainer in Method Eline Snel of the Academy for Mindful Teaching in the Netherlands, and is also qualified to teach .b, Paws b and .b Foundation of the Mindfulness in Schools Project from the United Kingdom.

Queenie holds a Master of Social Sciences degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Hong Kong, a Master of Arts degree in Psychology and Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Currently, she completed her Master of Counselling degree in 2022, in the hope of extending her clientele to families, couples and other adults.
